So, last night, I was all set to go play poker at the local amvets, my normal Thursday night activity. I was also set to go play at the local casino afterwords, my first casino action since I left Vegas. Then work happened.....I got a call on my work phone, and I ANSWERED THE PHONE. Let me explain a few things....I work early mornings....Tuesday-Friday, start time is 5:30am. Saturday-Monday, start time is 4:30am. My days off are Thursday and Friday. To get a phone call around 6:30pm is never good. It's nearly always a call to come in and work my day off. This, again, was a call to come into work today, Friday, on my day off. Nice guy that I am, I said yes, I'd work. Thankfully it was all overtime, and ended up being 9 hours of OT today. So, since my plan today was to get my homework for the week done, I stayed home from poker last night to get my homework done like the responsible adult that I sometimes can be....
Work really gets in the way of life sometimes, but at least I have a job, and the OT will come in handy...

I work a traditional M-F 8am-5pm job so the only times I go to Par-A-Dice are are weekends. I might try to go at least once over the holidays.
