Well, last week wasn't pretty. After being stuck in The Bahamas and not being able to get my picks in for the Cowboys game, I made picks for the Monday night game and missed both. My record now stands at 3-7-1. I will make 4 picks this week to get me back to an average of 3 per week.
Let's start with Dallas. We have the Patriots, after their bye week. How do I put this? I have no faith in Dallas against the Patriots without Romo, without Bryant, and with the Patriots coming off a bye week. Even with the Patriots favored by 8.5, I think they cover easily. The total is set at 49.5. I see the Patriots scoring a bunch, and Dallas maybe contributing just enough to make it an over. I predict a score of 38-17, New England winning.
My other 2 picks are Arizona -3 and Atlanta -7. Arizona is coming off a tough loss against divisional opponent St. Louis and will be looking to get back into the win column against a weak and inconsistent Detroit team. Atlanta faces Washington at home, and the Falcons have been solid this year.
