Grades and poker

Well, I got my report card for the 2 classes I just finished. One class consisted of 3 tests, nothing more. I got an "A" on the first test, but never saw the other 2 scores. On the third test I didn't put as much effort into it, as I was happy doing well enough to just get a "B". The other class, based on the grading scale and the scores I'd gotten on all of the assignments, I was expecting an "A" but it was close enough that a "B" was possible. So, I was actually expecting an "A" and a "B" with the worst-case scenario being 2 "B"s, and I was quite happy to see 2 "A"s on the report card. So far I've taken 6 classes towards my Bachelor's Degree, and I've earned 5 "A"s and 1 "B".

My next 2 classes begin tomorrow. Managerial Cost Accounting 2 and Tax Accounting 2. Both online classes.

Played some poker last week during my week off from school. In 2 sessions totaling 9 hours, I lost 3 buy-ins. Card-dead for awhile, and a lot of good but 2nd-best hands did me in. Anyhow, I'll be taking a break from poker at the casino again while I am working on homework for school. I am debating about going to Las Vegas for a few days the week after Thanksgiving....Won't know for sure until it's much closer, Allegiant Air doesn't even have prices up for then yet.

On a side note, my car will be paid off in September! That will be nice....

Until next time.....
