My friend Brian is in the hospital, not doing well. The backstory is this: He went to the ER one night with severe stomach pain, and was admitted. They ended up taking a mass out of his abdomen and 80 cm off of his small intestine. That night, as he was recovering, he was found on the floor, out of his bed, unresponsive. They don't know how long he was without oxygen to his brain. He was transferred that night to the leading hospital in our area. He underwent Hypothermia treatment. They are currently waiting for him to become completely responsive to realize the extent of the damage due to lack of oxygen. His brain stem is intact but there was some motor function damage. He has 2 daughters, ages 12 years and 8 months. He is the sole provider for the family, has no paid time off, and disability won't kick in for 30 days.
The mass that was removed was found to be cancerous, but the dr. doesn't think it had started to spread yet. He is in for some major rehabilitation once he awakens. Originally, when they started the hypothermia treatment, he was given a 30% chance to recover. So far, he has started opening his eyes and moving his feet, responding to his wife's voice as well as other stimuli from the medical staff.
My friends and I have set up a gofundme page for help with medical and living expenses. If you can donate anything, it's appreciated. If you can share the link on your blogs and any other social media, that would be appreciated also. Any good thoughts and prayers are always accepted as well.

Brian is in the big dude in the middle, I'm on the left as you're looking at the picture in the link.
Thanks for helping in any way that you can, whether it be financially, by sharing the link, or by thoughts and prayers.
